What are the vaccination requirements for training lessons?

All dogs must be up to date on age-appropriate core vaccines, and we accept official veterinarian-administered records uploaded online or provided in person at your lesson. Puppies must have their first distemper vaccine at a minimum and remain on track for their boosters: the distemper combo at 6–8 weeks, a booster at 10–12 weeks, and the final distemper combo plus rabies at 14–16 weeks, followed by annual boosters. While only distemper and rabies are required for our training programs, we highly encourage you to follow your vet's recommendations for non-core/lifestyle vaccines like bordetella, lyme, or leptospirosis.

Do you take on reactive or aggressive dogs?

No. Our business safety and liability policies prevent us from taking on cases involving severe reactivity, aggression, or biting risks. Because we want you and your dog to receive the most effective support, we are happy to refer you to local behavior specialists who focus entirely on severe behavioral rehabilitation.

Puppy Foundations ~ 4 Weeks

The essential start for your new family member. We focus on building confidence and mastering vital household routines, including handling for grooming and vet care, name recognition, and developing appropriate behaviors that make life with your puppy enjoyable.

⁓ Prerequisite: All puppies must up-to-date on their age-appropriate vaccine schedule
⁓ Format: Four weekly, 60-minute in-home private lessons with assigned homework

Puppy Passport Group Class ~ 3 Weeks

Designed for the critical 6-to-14-week window, this group class takes you and your puppy on guided socialization outings to real-world destinations like farm stores, downtown streets, and local parks. We focus on positive reinforcement and heavy praise, pairing new sights, sounds, and people with incredibly yummy snacks to build a happy, confident pup. Don't miss out on this crucial stage, because skipping these early travel miles puts your pup at risk of becoming a shy, fearful, or defensive adult dog.

⁓ Ages: 6-14 weeks old

~ Prerequisite: All puppies must up-to-date on their age-appropriate vaccine schedule
⁓ Format: Three weekly trips, 30 mins per trip

~Class Size: Maximum of 4 puppies per flight to ensure personalized attention and safety. Pre-registration required to hold your spot.

Nail Trim & Conditioning [Add-On] ~ 15-30 mins

This is an optional training add-on for dogs at any stage of nail care. For pups who handle trims well, this serves as a full nail clip and grind right in the comfort of home, saving you a trip to the groomer. For dogs who need extra support, the session shifts into building tolerance to paw handling, clippers, and grinders by pairing the process with high-value treats and heavy praise. Following a Progress-Over-Perfection philosophy, we work strictly at your dog's comfort level and never force compliance. If a session must be stopped early for your dog’s comfort, any remaining paws can be addressed at a future scheduled training lesson as an additional add-on.

Please note: This service focuses entirely on nail care and does not include any paw pad or sanitary fur trimming.

Intro to Grooming [Add-On] ~ 30 mins

This 30-minute training session introduces puppies of breeds with lifelong grooming needs to essential tools—including brushes, combs, clippers, and scissors—using high-value rewards and patience. We focus on cool-setting dryer desensitization, low-stress home bathing tips, and cooperative handling for ear checks, paw holding, and chin stability. You will also get a live tutorial on effective brushing to prevent matting; having coat-appropriate brushes and combs on hand for daily practice is highly recommended.

Please note this is an educational conditioning tutorial and does not include a physical bath, blow-dry, or haircut.
